Eden Gold Project
The founding enterprise of Eden Gold Corp. is a new discovery of gold-silver-base metals that has led to recognition of a potential new “Greenfields” mineral district in Manitoba, Canada. Being unexplored in a modern systematic way but having key geological features that define gold districts around the world, we believe there is tremendous unrealized discovery potential, and we are positioned to be the first to explore this opportunity.
Key features of the property and region include the recent discovery of gold mineralization and strong indications of unexplored property-scale host structures with multiple untested targets. The property contains a high-grade Ni-Cu-Co-PGE showing, also amidst multiple untested targets. Geological evidence indicates the property straddles a major crustal-scale deformation zone, which is the typical setting for major lode gold systems worldwide. The property is east and along strike of the Lynn Lake mining district (gold, nickel, Zn-Cu-Ag) and north of the large Ruttan (Zn-Cu-Ag) deposit. Two new gold mines (Alamos Gold) are expected to commence construction in the Lynn Lake belt, soon. The geological features and setting of the current project are common to mining districts in Canadian Shield-type environments.
Why hasn't anyone else tried this before and succeeded?
The Eden Mineral belt is hidden beneath a relatively thin but extensive overburden and recognized only recently, through work undertaken a discovery by an EGC director. Consequently, being unknown, no one else had the opportunity or ability to work on this project.
Is Manitoba a good place to invest?
Manitoba has proven exploration potential, with large areas of unexplored land, including the current Eden Gold project area. Manitoba has proven mining potential and existing infrastructure including some of the lowest price electricity in North America. The government strongly encourages exploration and mining in the province. Two new gold mines along strike of the Eden Gold project are expected to commence construction in 2024. The Manitoba government encourages cooperation between residents, First Nations, and mining companies, so exploration and mining can proceed, and everyone benefits. Manitoba is in the process of streamlining permitting and further clarifying regulations. Manitoba offers some of the most significant financial incentives for exploration in Canada.
Will there be any land claims?
Land claims in Manitoba are almost all settled, with any outstanding claims areas demarcated. Rules for
consultation are established, and are still being streamlined. In most cases First Nations are pro- development and look forward to participating where possible. At Eden Gold, permits have been received for exploration and drilling during an early phase of work in 2003-2007, and every year since 2014. There is no reason to believe this will change. We cooperate with Opipin Na Piwin FN (South Indian Lake). In formal correspondence with Opipin Na Piwin, they stated they want the jobs. There is no guarantee that issues will not arise in the future, but Eden Gold Corp. will work with whatever situation occurs.
